Your Role
As a Junior Energy Engineer your role will be to support the delivery of a range of Thermal Energy and Sustainability projects managed by Fēnix. This requires an understanding of HVAC system design and construction projects for buildings. You will be a self starter and a team player with the ability to receive and execute work with little to moderate supervision. You’ll possess proven communication skills and be confident coordinating with project team members. You will report to the Project Manager.
Duties
- Supporting the production of feasibility studies and business cases including financial analysis
- Implement Enhanced Commission new construction projects
- Produce Green Building Report outlines sustainable strategies for projects
- Supporting the delivery of the mechanical system design
- Independently delivering small projects and assigned portions of larger project

Your Role
The role of a Thermal Energy Project Manager is to deliver both large and small Thermal Energy Asset projects. This requires financial literacy, technical expertise in District Energy, HVAC and thermal energy, and a understanding in the turnkey mechanical construction projects for buildings. As the Thermal Energy Project Manager, you are a self starter and a team player with the ability to receive and execute work with little supervision. You’ll possess excellent communication skills and will be experienced in coordinating with team members and in mentoring junior staff. You will report to the General Manager.

Working within Fenix Energy, you will play a leading role developing and optimizing new and existing business cases and financial modelling of thermal energy projects across various markets. This requires in depth knowledge of construction and use of financial proformas, experience in District Energy and thermal energy, and an understanding of accounting principals. As the Energy Analyst, you are a self starter and a team player with the ability to receive and execute work with little supervision. In addition to this, you will identify new business case opportunities across various markets to grow the Thermal Energy Asset business. You’ll possess excellent communication skills and will be experienced in coordinating with team members and in mentoring junior staff. You will report to the General Manager.

- Independent financial modeling of thermal energy projects
- Interfacing with clients and managing relationships with external stakeholders to build Fenix’s portfolio and reputation in the market

- Carrying out energy policy analysis for thermal energy projects
- Identify, manage and prepare project tenders in response to public or private project tenders for thermal energy assets
- Completing the financial analysis of thermal energy system design options
